“Women’s Art Room”, Pieter‘s Church, Leiden

“One can’t help noticing the monumental sculpture of Moira Whyte in the middle of the church. The expectations were high during the preparation of the show, and the result doesn’t disappoint in my opinion. The work consists of 4 chalice-like shapes, steel plate on the outside and mirror on the inside. The narrow slices of mirror remind us of polished gem stones or crystals. The reflection of the church in fragmented images delivers a powerful visual experience.”
