Playground Crazes 2 -Siftables

intro_week1-02Assume you have been tasked with the creation of  a playground item/activity. What form might it take?

I would create a game using a new platform called a Siftables. Siftables are amazing little (4 x 4 cm.) computerized blocks. They have a graphical display, can communicate wirelessly, sense their orientation and proximity to other blocks, and respond to movement. MixtMedia MA Games Design

tutorial_intro.jpgSince I launched this web site in 2008 some significant changes have taken place in my work situation. Most importantly is that presently I am primarily a part-time lecturer of media design at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. At the same I am doing something that I have wanted to do for a long time, an MA. Practically speaking I will be using this blog as part of my Masters activities for the time being, less interesting for the “public domain” but hopefully of interest to my fellow students and of course to my course leader, Jim Thompson.
